Leading Saudi Arabian family office has major successes in 2019

According to an article published by McKinsey & Company, 2019 was an annus mirabilis year for Saudi Arabia based family office, Abdul Latif Jameel (AJL), with Ford and Amazon announcing significant investment in ALJ-backed electric-vehicle manufacturer Rivian, noting that Amazon has planned initial purchases of 100,000 of its vehicles.

The article also highlighted Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) were awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics.  J-PAL is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) research center supported by the Jameel family philanthropy, Community Jameel.

ALJ is actively invested in 30 countries across a range of sectors, including energy, transportation, real estate, consumer products, and financial services.
