Ugur Sarman is a Senior Vice President, Partner Relations of Greenstone Equity Partners and is responsible for business development in North America.

Prior to joining Greenstone, Mr. Sarman served as Senior Vice President of Institutional Sales at Marco Polo Securities, a New York-based broker-dealer where he was responsible for developing business relationships with financial intermediaries, public and private companies and institutional investors across Frontier and Emerging Markets.

Prior to this, Mr. Sarman worked at Auerbach Grayson, a global agency-broker, where his primary role was to provide EMEA-based market intelligence, research and corporate access for institutional investors in the US. Before joining Auerbach Grayson, Mr. Sarman worked at NBGI Securities, the brokerage arm of National Bank of Greece, where he spent significant time on research sales and trading functions with a focus on Southeastern Europe and Turkey. Mr. Sarman started his career in finance with Moody’s Investor Services in New York. As a junior analyst at Moody’s, Mr. Sarman monitored and reported alarming trends in the U.S syndicated loans market leading up to the financial crisis of 2008-2009.

Mr. Sarman holds a Bachelor of Arts in City and Regional Planning from Mimar Sinan University, Turkey and Master of Business Administration in Financial Management from Pace University, US. Mr. Sarman is a holder of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
