Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Capital and BlackRock form private equity partnership

Abu Dhabi’s asset management subsidiary Mubadala Capital has inked a $1.2 billion deal with a consortium of investors led Blackrock – and this appears to be just the start. Although the deal structure with the world’s largest asset manager is unique, the sovereign wealth fund subsidiary has done similar before; Ardian’s $2.5 billion to Mubadala was one of its first outside investments.
