Damian Grice is the Chief Operating Officer of Greenstone Equity Partners.
Mr. Grice is an experienced Chief Operating Officer and innovator within the banking and financial services sector. He has a proven track record in transforming, running, and scaling business operations across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East for top-tier banking institutions.
Prior to joining Greenstone, Mr. Grice was a Senior Vice President and member of the Group Technology and Digital Executive Committee at First Abu Dhabi Bank, the largest bank in the GCC, where he was responsible for running the business operations of the bank’s 2,000-person global technology department.
In 2013, Mr. Grice transferred to Dubai with Barclays Bank, in the role of Chief Operating Officer – Corporate Banking. In this capacity, he formulated the business plan and successfully led the transformation of Barclays Middle East’s digital product platform for its MENA-based Corporate and Institutional clients, resulting in double–digit percentage revenue growth for the business. Mr. Grice was subsequently appointed to the role of Head of Barclays’ Non-Core Corporate Banking business in the region, where he led the successful restructuring of a 200-person, $500 million (assets) business.
Prior to this Mr. Grice spent six years at London-based Barclays Corporate Bank, where he held leadership roles, including Chief of Staff to the Global COO as well as Global Head of Innovation. During his tenure, Mr. Grice was credited with launching the Corporate Bank’s first innovation ideas platform across Barclays Europe, Africa, Middle East and US businesses and implementing over 60 solutions which grew revenue, reduced complaints and lowered costs.
Mr. Grice started his managerial career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the London-based Banking and Capital Markets group.
Mr. Grice is passionate about implementing effective leadership, people, and culture strategies which he believes are core enablers to achieve operational excellence and drive business growth. He is certified in design thinking and holds a Bachelor of Business in Management from The Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
