ADFD invests $2.7 billion in international water projects

Trade Arabia has reported the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has financed 108 water sector projects in 56 countries from its inception in 1971 until December 2018.  The article noted that ADFD has always been keen to support international efforts aimed at achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, with water sector projects accounting for 12 percent of its total expenditure.

ADFD said it had funded the construction of 63 dams and the implementation of 30 drinking water and irrigation networks.
