Greenstone Expands Industry-Leading Capital Raising Coverage to Key Asia-Pacific Countries
1 August 2026
(Dubai, UAE)
Building on its position as the GCC’s leading capital raising partner for asset managers, Greenstone announced today the formal launch of its Asia-Pacific (APAC) capital raising platform, expanding its proven 15-year capital raising track record model into five key markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. This expansion follows Greenstone’s proven capital raising model of fostering enduring relationships between its global asset manager partners and regional investors.
The launch follows a methodical 18-month platform buildout, developed in response to long-standing Greenstone asset manager partners seeking the same dedicated, on-the-ground investor coverage across APAC that Greenstone provides in the GCC. Throughout this initial phase, Greenstone built the platform market-by-market, recruiting senior professionals with deep local expertise and investor relationships, establishing regulatory coverage through partnerships with institutional-grade locally-licensed firms, and developing direct relationships across sovereign wealth funds, mid-tier institutions, family offices, and private wealth platforms.
As part of the 18-month rollout, Greenstone validated its model in each market, establishing a track record through capital raising engagements with its existing asset manager partners. The expansion from the GCC to key APAC markets has proven to materially enhance the value Greenstone provides to its asset manager partners, enabling Greenstone to apply its comprehensive knowledge of each manager’s investment platform across a wider geographic range of private capital investors and enabling its asset manager partners to have a “one-stop solution” for capital raising from the GCC and APAC.
Following the success of the rollout period, Greenstone is making its partnership model for APAC capital raising and coverage available to institutional-quality asset managers. Managers may engage Greenstone in either the GCC or APAC region, or both regions, through Greenstone's coordinated investor coverage program.
Unlike traditional placement models that rely on successive mandates with different regional firms, Greenstone provides permanent, continent-wide local coverage. This allows our teams to develop a deeper understanding of each asset manager's strategy, build long-term relationships between its asset manager partner and regional investors, and deliver increasingly effective execution with each successive fund vintage. The result is a partnership that becomes more valuable over time, without the repeated cost and disruption of appointing, training, and managing new placement firms or regional teams for every fundraising cycle.
Mike Dinsdale, Chief Executive Officer of PowerLaw Capital Group, said:
From our offices in San Francisco, hiring and managing remote employees to cover the GCC or APAC would not give us the local reach or continuity we need. We partnered with Greenstone because it gives us experienced local coverage, established investor relationships, compliant execution, and the resources of a firm with over 100 professionals. Just as importantly, they understand our entire investment platform, not just a single fundraise, and that knowledge carries forward from one opportunity and vintage to the next. After working together to build meaningful investor traction for our prior vintage in the GCC, we had no hesitation about working with them in APAC. We’ve been extremely impressed by the professionalism of Greenstone’s teams and the depth and scale of the LP base they’re helping us build. We see Greenstone as an extension of our team and an essential part of our international capital raising strategy."
Omar Al-Gharabally, President and Chief Investment Officer of Greenstone, said:
Our approach in every market involves taking the time to understand investors deeply, including their portfolio construction, allocation priorities, governance, and decision-making processes. That insight allows us to represent our asset manager partners thoughtfully and focus our coverage where there is genuine alignment. Our APAC teams bring substantial market experience and long-established local relationships to that work, and we have been extremely encouraged by the LP relationships developed between APAC investors and our asset manager partners. These are exactly the informed, long-term relationships we built the platform to support.”
Alex Gemici, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Greenstone, said:
For years, our partners asked when Greenstone would offer the same depth of coverage in APAC that they relied on in the GCC. We took that request seriously. Building the platform properly meant finding senior local professionals who share our values, assembling institutional-grade regulatory infrastructure in each market, and applying the same year-round discipline our partners expect from us. We deliberately waited to formally launch the platform until we were confident it reflected the same standard of quality, local expertise and execution that our partners have come to expect from Greenstone.”
Jeff Evans, Chief Business Development Officer of Greenstone, said:
The value we provide our asset manager partners goes beyond a single fundraising. We develop a deep understanding of each manager’s full investment platform, identify where their strategies align with investor priorities in each market, and build relationships that can support the AUM growth of multiple strategies and vintages over time. Our expansion into key APAC markets enables us to connect each of our partners with a substantially broader universe of family offices, institutional investors, private wealth platforms, and sovereign wealth funds through Greenstone’s local intelligence, compliant execution, and sustained coverage.”
Greenstone is currently engaging with institutional-quality alternative asset managers seeking a dedicated investor coverage and capital raising partner in the GCC, APAC, or both.
