Nippon Life enters 1.5 trillion yen private credit partnership with Blackstone

Nippon Life Insurance, Japan's largest life insurer, has signed a memorandum of understanding for a comprehensive strategic partnership with Blackstone spanning private credit and real estate. Nippon Life plans to allocate approximately 1.5 trillion yen (about $9.4 billion) in new capital to Blackstone-managed private and structured credit strategies over the next five years, alongside collaboration on around a dozen large urban real estate assets.
