Sustainable Shariah-compliance funds favoured by Islamic investors

According to an article on Funds Global MENA, the past couple of years have seen many Islamic funds integrate environment, social and governance (ESG) principles with investment houses around the world are responding quickly to the trend in socially responsible investing (SRI). After Schroder’s Global Investor Study 2019 showed that increasing numbers of investors were putting more emphasis on sustainability when deciding how to allocate their portfolios, the firm launched an Islamic Global Equity Fund combining Shariah law compliance with multi-factor investing and ESG.
