
Hema Kanji is an Assistant Vice President, Compliance of Greenstone Equity Partners.
Ms. Kanji has over 13 years of experience working in legal and compliance, both in-house and as a consultant. Prior to joining Greenstone, Ms. Kanji was a Risk and Compliance Director at Marsham Investment Management, where she was responsible for the implementation of the firm’s compliance infrastructure, ongoing compliance monitoring, and providing advisory services on all compliance-related matters.
Prior to this, Ms. Kanji was a Manager at BDO, where she provided internal audit services within their financial services advisory team and consulted for several firms as a compliance manager, including Bovill, where she was responsible for managing a portfolio of private equity and hedge fund clients for their fund management team.
Ms. Kanji began her career as a paralegal for UK law firms and also worked as a Senior Grade Adjudicator for the UK’s Financial Ombudsman Service.
Ms. Kanji holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Wales, UK, and completed her LPC at the University of West England, UK. Ms. Kanji also holds a Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
