Stephen Omar Latham is a Board Member of Greenstone Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Latham is a 16-year investment banking veteran specializing in fund placement, asset management, risk management, portfolio advisory, private banking & fundraising with global experience with blue chip financial institutions in New York, London and the Middle East.
Between 2009 and 2011, Mr. Latham was Executive Vice President for Wasserstein Middle East in Bahrain, the representative office of Wasserstein & Co, New York, a $2 billion private equity firm. At Wasserstein, Mr. Latham was mandated to expand the current client base with a focus on regional family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals while providing investors with advisory services on risk management and asset allocation in relation to specific investment solutions. During his tenure at Wasserstein, Mr. Latham successfully developed a comprehensive GCC-independent investment placement business model to coincide with a focused mandate to raise funds over a short time frame.
Between 2006-2009, Mr. Latham was Head of Investor Marketing at BMB Investment Bank, a wholesale bank in Bahrain. Mr. Latham spearheaded and executed multiple regional private equity placements, providing a vast array of investment solutions including direct investments, funds, fund of funds, hedge funds & equity funds. Mr. Latham developed and implemented an organized client focused relationship maintenance and development program, identifying and qualifying prospective new clients for a strategic relationship with BMB, resulting in high profile, strategic capital inflows.
Between 2005-2006, Mr. Latham was an investment manager at Awal Bahrain with total assets around $8.6 billion, making it the fourth largest bank in the country. Mr. Latham aided in the management of the Bank’s portfolio of assets, including regional equity, structured & hedge products, fixed interest & floating rate notes, international private equity and commodities.
Between 2000-2005, Mr. Latham was a Private Banker with Lloyds TSB Plc., London, managing high net worth clients with a minimum net asset value of £1 million, to ensure an effective wealth management strategy.
