Dr. Rhee has over 30 years of experience across sovereign wealth fund investing, global asset allocation, private markets, and alternative investments.
Prior to joining Greenstone, Dr. Rhee held senior investment leadership roles at Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), where he served as Deputy CIO and Head of Private Markets, overseeing global private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure investment programs. During his tenure, he also led investment strategy, research, and asset allocation initiatives, and served as Chief Representative of KIC’s New York office.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Rhee held senior investment roles at the Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives, where he managed global fixed income and alternative investment programs, and previously worked as an equity analyst at HSBC Securities Seoul and as a portfolio manager at Samsung Life Insurance focusing on international investments.
Dr Rhee is a South Korean national and holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. in Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University, and both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Economics from Seoul National University. He is also a CFA charterholder and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
