Mr. Al-Gharabally is the Co-Founder, Chief Investment Officer, President, and a Partner at Greenstone. As a founding member, he has been instrumental in shaping Greenstone’s vision, investment direction, and operational leadership since inception.

A veteran investment banker with over 25 years of experience, Mr. Al-Gharabally brings comprehensive expertise across fund placement, asset management, portfolio advisory, risk management, private banking, and capital raising. His international career spans major financial centers including New York, London, and the Middle East at both global institutions and specialized investment firms.

Since co-founding Greenstone, Mr. Al-Gharabally has built one of the most extensive and influential investor networks in the GCC. He manages relationships with over 2,000 institutional and private investors, including SWFs, corporate conglomerates, leading family offices, and UHNWIs. His ability to secure capital commitments, close complex transactions, and structure strategic partnerships has been critical in helping global fund managers establish and grow their presence in the region.

As a member of Greenstone’s Executive Committee, Mr. Al-Gharabally is a key architect of the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Under his leadership, Greenstone has been recognized by Preqin as one of the world’s top 10 firms by number of funds raised, reinforcing its position as the largest fund placement firm in the Middle East.

Prior to co-founding Greenstone, he served as Executive Vice President at Wasserstein Middle East, the regional arm of Wasserstein & Co., a $2 billion private equity firm. There, he pioneered an independent investment placement model for GCC investors and expanded the firm’s regional presence. He was previously Head of Investor Marketing at BMB Investment Bank and held investment roles at Awal Bahrain and Lloyds TSB in London.

Mr. Al-Gharbally, a British and Kuwaiti national, is a proud member of Kuwait’s Al-Gharabally family, renowned regional merchants whose legacy is embodied in Souk Al-Gharabally, a historic marketplace in Kuwait City that has stood for over 90 years.

Mr. Al-Gharabally also serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee, a member of the Executive Committee, and a Board Member of Greenstone Saudi Arabia. He also holds key regulatory responsibilities across several Greenstone entities.
